As a stayed home mum

Ever since I stayed home to take care of Joy while searching for a new job, I realised that I kept scolding Joy. Have I become like my mum (haha)?

First fault finding : No sense of urgency. She will take her own sweet time to do things even though I told her that she is running late.. running very late... hurry Joy hurry Joy... but still same speed. Feel like strangling her. Finally I gave up. I told her " Mummy is so stupid. Why rush you when you don't think it is important to be on time? The principal is going to punish you not me. Take your own time. From now onwards, mummy is not going to rush you." Guess what she told me? Joy said " Mummy, don't talk like that. It is not nice you know." Then still same speed.... vomit blood.

Second fault finding: Lots of excuses. She told me a few days ago that she has no choice but to eat a whole packet of potatoes chips. I asked her why. She said she forget to bring her lunch box during recess and teacher locked the door. Her lunch box and wallet are put in the same place. Her lunch box is BIG, bigger than her wallet. No way she can miss it if she remembers to take out her wallet. I asked her why she didn't buy noodles or sandwiches instead? She said she scare she dunno how to pay. A whole loads of bullshit. She thinks her mum was born yesterday. I told her if she eat potatoes chips everyday, no more pocket money. What makes mummy angry is you not being honest.

Third fault finding: Don't care about her school work. Everyday I ask her do you have homework today? She will answer me dunno. Her teacher just returned her worksheets and mostly were wrong. I was shocked 'cos they should be v easy for her. I asked her why. She said dunno. I went through her mistakes with her and she knew all the right answers. I asked her why she didn't get them right in the first place. She said dunno. Have I been too lenient on her? She dun seem to care. Vomit blood.

I told Stanley about it. He said he will take over the coaching. Not more than 5 minutes, he threw her books far far away and left Joy in tears. Then he told me really vomit blood....

I pray and ask God for wisdom and lots of patience to guide Joy. I really need them. Haiz... I think I am not cut out to be a stayed home mum. Working seems much easier...haha

Hey Juliet,
I have a feeling that Joy is not happy about something. I do not know what exactly, but I think she is not exactly happy about something.

Maybe really spend some quality time to observe and appreciate her company, then maybe you will see something in a different perspective.
