I was teaching her various vocations in life e.g. ice-cream man, teacher, nurse, doctor, gardener, etc. I asked her what she wants to be when she grows up. She said, " I want to be a mummy." I was shocked... Joy's ambition is to be a "housewife"..aiya, like that don't have to study so hard liao...haha.. I think Stanley is shocked too.. then he asked her again. Joy very firmly said, "When I grow up, I want to be mummy." We asked her dont you want to be a doctor or a teacher? She said no.. I want to be mummy. .. Silence.. silence... then she said very sweetly to me, " Mummy, when I grow up, I want to be like you. So I want to be a mummy. You work in office, I also want to work in office. I love you mummy." So, she wants to model after me...so sweet... bought my heart immediately... Stanley very jealous...hahaha.. what can I ask for in life? ** big smile**
This incident also made me ashamed of myself. I have so much expectation on my child. Time to do some self-check.
Whatever she will be one day, I just want her to be happy!

She said she wants to be a mummy.
She did not say she wants to be a housewife!!
She might also want to be an entrepreneur working from home and look after her kids... (super mummy)
I think she just wants to be like what she sees in her mum.
You should be very very happy. Joy will be what she wants to be in the future.
