To buy a rod or not

I have never hit Joy with a rod before. Light spanking using my hand - very few..probably 3 times till now. One of our friends has been using the cane to discipline his son when he is naughty. Hence, the poor kid is terrified even at the mention of cane. Joy never see a cane before, thought it is a toy and played with it...*sigh*

Hmmm... I have been attending parenting seminar. We are advised to discipline a child using a cane rather than hand as hand is used to love the child. I agreed. But will I really use the cane? Will Stanley bear to use the cane on Joy? Likely not...

To buy or not to buy... haiz...
